Pastors Page

From our Senior Pastor . . .

Greetings in the name of the Lord!

I'm happy you're visiting our web site and I hope you'll enjoy finding out more about our church and it's ministries. There's a lot going on so be sure to look through our online pages. God is doing great things at First Baptist, Wellsboro!

Although I'm glad to have you visit with us online I'd enjoy it even more if you would visit with us in person.  We'd like to get to know you, and have you get to know us.  Most importantly, we'd like to help you get to know Jesus, if you don't already. Or get to know Him better, if you do. Not just know about Him, mind you. I want you to really know Jesus personally and to have a fulfilling relationship with Him by asking Him into your life to be your Savior and Lord.  When you do, you'll find the forgiveness, love, peace, strength, and comfort that come from truly knowing Jesus! (Click here to find out more about how to have a relationship with God's Son, Jesus.)

May God bless you today with a deep sense of His love for you!

Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Jeff McCleary

From our Assistant Pastor . . .

As the Assistant Pastor here at First Baptist Church, I have the great privilege of working with the children, youth, young family, and discipleship ministries. Having four children of our own, we know the challenges and joys that come with raising a family that honors God and is a blessing to others. I believe that our ministry exists to come alongside individuals, couples, and families so that they can grow in their relationships with God and then be equipped to glorify Him in every aspect of their lives.

God desires for His love to permeate not only our own lives but then for His love to compel us to love one another - people who Jesus called our ˜neighbor.' These neighbors aren't only the people next door, but also the individuals closest to us; our spouses, children, parents, and close friends.

Personally, I have watched each member of our family be blessed through the children and adult Sunday school classes, worship services, family gatherings, and the meaningful relationships with the people here at FBC, Wellsboro.  We would be delighted for you to consider joining our church family in any of its ministry fronts, be encouraged through faithful Bible teaching and enjoy rich connections with other followers of Jesus. If you have never taken the step of faith to receive Jesus and find yourself desiring an abundant life that only He can provide, then join us to learn more about the One who loves you, who died for you, and wants to spend eternity with you.

In His Service,
Pastor Drew Simcox
